Record Grading Scale: I use the following grading scale to indicate the quality of the records and sleeves:

  1. Excellent Records:
    1. M = Mint (perfect)
    2. M- = Mint minus (near perfect)
    3. VG+ = Very Good plus (a very nice copy with only minimal wear or minor surface noise)
  1. Very Good Records:
    1. VG = Very Good (well played over the years, with noticeable audio or visual wear)
    2. VG- = Very Good minus (significant audio or visual wear)
  1. Below Average Records:
    1. G = Good (plays but with serious flaws)

Note: I do not use the EX rating. In my grading scale, VG+ = EX. A VG+ rating indicates an excellent record that is not quite Mint-.

Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn [Japan – 1st issue, pressed on Everclean audiophile red vinyl]

Comments: Original Japanese issue pressed on Everclean red vinyl, a high quality vinyl that was developed and patented by Toshiba Musical Industries. This type of vinyl is of much better quality than typical black vinyl. No obi.
The Japanese release of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn includes all the songs from the original British release of the album plus the extra song See Emily Play added to the end of side two.
