Record Grading Scale: I use the following grading scale to indicate the quality of the records and sleeves:

  1. Excellent Records:
    1. M = Mint (pefect)
    2. M- = Mint minus (near perfect)
    3. VG+ = Very Good plus (a very nice copy with only minimal wear or minor surface noise)

  2. Very Good Records:
    1. VG = Very Good (well played over the years, with noticable audio or visual wear)
    2. VG- = Very Good minus (significant audio or visual wear)

  3. Below Average Records:
    1. G = Good (plays but with serious flaws)

Note: I do not use the EX rating. In my grading scale, VG+ = EX. A VG+ rating indicates an excellent record that is not quite Mint-.

Withdrawn albums that claimed to feature Jimi Hendrix with Lonnie Youngblood

In 1987, the U.S. Court of Appeals found that the following albums were fraudulently marketed as Jimi Hendrix albums, when they did not contain performances by Jimi Hendrix, and instead only contained performances by Lonnie Youngblood. As a result, the distribution of these albums was stopped and copies of the albums were ordered to be withdrawn and destroyed.
Note: Despite the court's findings, some of the songs on these albums do, in fact, include Jimi Hendrix on guitar. The recordings with Jimi are underlined, and are the very first studio recordings ever made by Jimi Hendrix. These recordings were made in a studio in Philadeliphia in 1963 in a session Jimi did with Lonnie Youngblood!
